Jiangsu Zhongte Chianaref New Material Research Institute (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Chianaref Refractory Co., Ltd.) is jointly invested and constructed by CITIC Pacific Special Steel Group and Jiangsu Chianaref Refractory Co., Ltd, covering an area of about 17,000 square meters , including the comprehensive R&D building and the pilot plant.

The research institute is committed to the technology research and development, consultation, transfer and promotion of new materials; engineering design services and testing services for refractories and metallurgical accessories.
